Victorian Scottish Crescent Moon & Star Brooch charm and foiled paste gemstonesDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 Striking antique brooch made in Scotland during the latter half of the 19th century. It's round form features a crescent moon with six pointed star nestled in the middle, and the silverwork is both intricately hand engraved and inlayed with a banded form of agate known as Montrose Lace. The centre of the star is home to a vivid Cairngorm citrine, yellowish orange in colour. A particularly fine example of the style, showcasing
