Dauphin is a warm mid toned brown. Like Farrow & Ball's Salon Drab, it's inspired by 19th century interiors, in which these 'drab' shades originally inspired by the undyed wool of the same name were very popular. Try it with the darker London Stone on woodwork for a sophisticated finish.
