Victorian Enamelled Yellow Poppy Heart Locket carnelian A gorgeous late Victorian sapphireDATE: Victorian, c. 1880 A beautiful antique heart locket with guilloch enamelled front depicting a yellow poppy. The detail is incredible, and combined with the tricolour pastel coloured background (blue, yellow, pink), it's an incredibly attractive example. The locket opens to reveal two heart shaped compartments, and the reverse is engraved with the initials NL. Crafted in 9 karat gold, it dates from the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
