A designated American Viticultural Area on the eastern side of California's appellation perched on rolling hillsides with well drained gravelly loam soils. Named for the age old practice of toasting barrel heads with fire, which is what helps to create the distinct toasted flavors in all our wines. This chardonnay opens with layered aromas of baked apples, brown
