Made from a good quality rubber just as the originals. The opening diameter is 28 29 mm. The German MGZ40 Optical Sight was intended for use with both the MG34 and MG42 machine guns, when they were mounted on a Lafette tripod. The MGZ40, was an improvement over the earlier MGZ34 scope, in that the
