Its shape is called double flared, meaning the Viking plug curves concavely inwards when viewed from the side. The front and back, however, are slightly convex. The front of the plug features a round, engraved pattern of the Viking compass, Vegvisir. The pattern is raised, while the background is lower, darker, and rougher.
