No passports were required Sunday evening as Brunswick Landing Marina cruisers packed their appetites and traveled around the globe for Dock Around the World 2026!
Eleven participating docks transformed themselves into destinations from across the world — and even all the way to Antarctica. Each dock chose a country and went all out with themed food, cocktails, decorations, costumes, music, and plenty of personality.
The evening kicked off at Dock 15, representing Jamaica, before cruisers made their way from dock to dock. Along the journey they visited Mexico, Germany, Thailand, Greece, China, Ireland, France, Japan, Spain, and even Antarctica.
Four judges had the difficult job of scoring each stop, and with so much creativity on display, the competition was incredibly close at the top.
When the final scores were tallied, Dock 2 — Japan claimed the title of 2026 Dock Around the World Champion with 209 points! Japan impressed the judges and cruisers alike with the full experience they created.
Coming in just eight points behind was Dock 10 — Greece, earning second place with 201 points, followed closely by Dock 14 — Mexico in third with 198 points. Dock 4 — France was right on their heels, finishing fourth with an impressive 196 points.
The complete finish was:
🥇 1st — Dock 2, Japan — 209 🥈 2nd — Dock 10, Greece — 201 🥉 3rd — Dock 14, Mexico — 198 4th — Dock 4, France — 196 5th — Dock 7, China — 189 6th — Dock 15, Jamaica — 187 7th — Dock 1, Spain — 182 8th — Dock 11, Thailand — 173 9th — Dock 13, Germany — 170 10th — Dock 6, Ireland — 134 11th — Dock 3, Antarctica
But the scores were only a small part of what made the evening such a success. Dock Around the World was really about seeing dockmates come together. Teams spent countless hours planning menus, creating decorations, preparing drinks, dressing the part, and turning their docks into completely different destinations for one night.
Every few steps brought something new to eat, something new to drink, and usually something to laugh about. The creativity throughout the marina was incredible, and the amount of work everyone put into their stops did not go unnoticed.
And now it’s time for the winners to celebrate!
On Thursday, September 3rd, the first-, second-, and third-place docks will each receive their own pizza party right on their dock, with pizza being delivered at 6 p.m. As an extra reward for taking the championship, Dock 2 will also receive a special cocktail to toast their first-place victory.
Congratulations to Dock 2 — Japan, and a huge thank-you to all 11 participating docks, our judges, and everyone who traveled Dock Around the World with us.
For one evening, Brunswick Landing Marina became a little bit of everywhere — and judging by the food, laughter, costumes, and camaraderie along the docks, this was one trip around the world we won’t soon forget!
