Falling right into the "Mark I" or classic generation of the production run (1982–1994), it is widely celebrated as an excellent, spacious coastal cruiser for families and weekend explorers. Interior & Accommodations The defining feature of the Catalina 36 is its spacious and innovative interior layout, which feels much larger than most 36-footers of its era. The Salon: Features a unique port-side traditional dinette alongside a starboard-side breakfast nook with two individual seats and a small utility table (which can bridge into a single settee).
